Join us in Boulder this summer for a fun, hands-on camp that includes 2 hours per day of small group reading instruction catered to their needs, plus outdoor experiences, movement, games, art, and creative projects.

Daily Structure:

9:00am Arrival

9:10 - 10:10 Session 1 - Groups 1 and 3 - first 60-minute small group reading session. Complete Orton Gillingham lesson and learning new concepts.

Groups 2 and 4 - Outdoor games and activities

10:15-11:15 Session 2 - Groups 2 and 4 first 60-minute small group reading session. Complete Orton Gillingham lesson and learning new concepts.

Groups 1 and 3 - Outdoor games and activities

11:15-12 Lunch and outdoor free play

12:00 1:00- - Group 1 and 3 - second small group reading session. Engaging fluency activities and focused reading practice.

Groups 2 and 4 - Building, crafts and creative projects

1:05-2:05 Groups 2 and 4 - second 60 minute small group reading session. Engaging fluency activities and focused reading practice.

2:10-3:20 Camper Choice - Nature exploration, large group games, board games, art.

Camp Vs 1-1 Intensives

Camp 1-1 intensives

Small groups of 2-4 students with similar needs, 1-1

20 total hours of reading instruction Anywhere from 16 - 150 hours of reading instruction

Incorporated into camp experience Focused instruction only

Ages 6-11. Ages 4-18

Good for students who can be succesful in a small group Good for students who would benefit most from 1-1 instruction

*Many families choose to sign up for camp as a fun way to get their child involved and start making progress, then continue on with an intensive for the rest of the summer.

When and Where

This is a 2-week camp that runs M-F 9-3:30, June 1-12, 2026. The camp will take place within the city of Boulder, and the exact location is still TBD, but will be announced well before the start of camp.

Pricing

Early Bird - (Before March 30th) $1200 total ($600/wk).

Standard - (April 1- April 30) $1300 total ($650/wk)

Last Minute - (May 1st - May 28) $1400 total ($700/wk)

  • Note - this is a 2- week camp, and there is no option to sign up for just 1 week.

  • Non-refundable deposit of $500 is due upon registration.

Camp Activities

Camp activities may include:

Outdoor Activities and Field Trips - Group games, going to parks, water play (balloons, sprinklers, etc), playing in the creek, canoeing/ kayaking, farm visit, swimming pool, mini golf, scavenger hunts.

Indoor Field Trips- Rock Climbing, Trampoline gym, Boulder Museum, NCAR, Bowling.

Indoor Activities and Free Choice - Arts and crafts, theater games, reading, drawing, board games, card games, music/ instruments, legos/ building materials, etc.

  • Note - this is a small, customized program, so we will have some flexibility in choosing activities based on student interests. If your child has a particular area of interest, or an activity that would not be a good fit for them, please let us know.
