Our Learning Specialists

Our teachers come from backgrounds as Reading Specialists, Special Education Teachers, and Classroom Teachers. They are trained to work with students with Dyslexia, ADHD, and Autism, and have extensive training and experience with Orton -Gillingham and other specific intervention methods.

Scheduling

At our Boulder Office, $65-$95/hr, depending on package

In-home sessions available for an additional $10-$25/day depending on location.

Our Approach to Teaching Reading

We use the Orton-Gillingham approach to teach reading, which is the gold standard for students with dyslexia, and is highly impactful for all learners.

Orton-Gillingham is a research-proven, highly structured, systematic, and multisensory approach to teaching reading that helps students master reading concepts and build fluency. Our Learning Specialists have extensive experience and training with Orton Gillingham.

Summer is a great time to focus on reading! In the summer, we offer anywhere from 2-15 hours per week of focused, 1-1 reading instruction, with significant discounts for 6-15 hours per week. With an intensive, students can improve up to 2.5 grade levels in one summer!

Sessions take place in our Boulder center or student’s homes.

Customized Tutoring and Educational Therapy - Reading, Writing, Math

We provide customized instruction in reading, writing and math for grades K-10. Students work with a Learning Specialist who has expertise in their subject and grade level. 

We design a program of instruction based on listening to teachers and families, reading reports from outside professionals when applicable, assessing students for specific skills, and then creating a personalized instruction plan for the student’s area of need and learning style. 

We check in with parents and students throughout the learning process and continue to refine the plan based on how the student is learning.
